Vandaag twee nieuwe kerstalbums aan mijn verzameling toegevoegd. The Rounder Christmas Album Must Be Santa! is zoals de titel al zegt een kerstalbum met artiesten van het Rounder label, uitgebracht in 1995. Op deze verzamelaar staan mooie blues, folk, zydeco, country, polka en gospel kerstliedjes van artiesten als David Grisman, George Thorogood, Mary Wells, John McCutcheon en The Louvin Brothers. Met mooie uitvoeringen van What Child Is This, Rock & Roll Christmas, Silent Night, Christmas In The Trenches en A Sut-In At Christmas/Shut-In’s Prayer. Het tweede album is van het folk en indierock duo She & Him, bestaande uit Zooey Deschanel en muzikant M. Ward (o.a. bekend Monsters of Folk). A Very She & Him Christmas is een stemmig kerstalbum met zowel traditionals zoals Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, Sleigh Ride en Silver Bells, maar ook met de Beach Boys nummers Little Saint Nick en Christmas Day en de klassieker Baby It’s Cold Outside.
